MyChevrolet Mobile App Gets Upgrades: Seamless Integration
Chevy recently announced that it would be releasing an upgraded version of the myChevrolet mobile app during the Consumer Electronics Show in the coming weeks. Allowing for convenient control and easy management of your vehicle, the myChevrolet app is keeping you and your car better connected than ever before.
The new myChevrolet mobile app will be made available through OnStar RemoteLink, according to Chevy. This gives you easier mobile access to roadside assistance, parking reminders, owner’s manual information, vehicle diagnostics, Wi-Fi hotspot management, and even standard key fob commands like door lock/unlock.
“The myChevrolet app will be the most comprehensive vehicle app available – and will support the ownership experience over the life of the vehicle,” said Paul Edwards, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. “By integrating OnStar RemoteLink features into the myChevrolet app, we’re creating a one-stop-app for owners to manage their vehicle with one user profile and unified log-in.”
The upgraded version of the myChevrolet app will be usable on select 2010 and newer models, assuming drivers activate their OnStar terms and conditions. This is part of a larger project by the Chevrolet Owner Center to make driving more up to date than ever before, creating seamless integration between phone, computer, and vehicle technologies.
