Cadillac Makes Hybrids Luxurious with Upcoming 2017 CT6 Plug-In Hybrid
Since their inception, hybrid vehicles have had a reputation for being off-beat and unrefined in appearance. Cadillac is changing that perception by combining its premium sensibilities and hybrid technology. Cadillac’s Upcoming 2017 CT6 Plug-In Hybrid maintains the same air of sophistication and power the brand is known for, while also offering competitive fuel efficiency that lowers its carbon footprint.
Details on the Cadillac CT6 Plug-In Hybrid have finally been announced a year after the model was shown off at the Shanghai Auto Show. This rear-wheel drive sedan will be outfitted with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that’s paired to two electric motors and an 18.4-kW battery. It can even run on pure electricity for a distance of 37 miles!
If you’re concerned that the CT6 will be weak due to its reliance on electricity, have no fear. It still boasts a whopping 449 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 5.6 seconds. Those are the numbers we have come to expect from Cadillac, and the CT6 Plug-In doesn’t look like it will disappoint.
