Summer has finally arrived and that means it’s time for a summer road trip! If you forgot to get your car ready for summer, it isn’t too late. - Oil – While your oil should be changed consistently throughout the year, getting fresh oil before heading out on a long trip is a must. Considering oil lubricates, cools, and keeps your engine clean, there are few was that are better at ensuring your engine is good to go for that family vacation!
- Air Conditioning – No one wants to be caught broken down on the side of the road with the hot sun staring down at them. That’s why you should have your air conditioning system checked by a certified technician. You likely won’t know something is wrong with your system until you try to use it. Take proper precautions and have it checked out before you hit the road.
- Tires – Before you head out, check your tire pressure and tread wear. If your tread isn’t wearing evenly, it’s time for an alignment. Make sure to properly inflate your tires according to the owner’s manual for a tirade of benefits, including higher fuel economy and a smoother ride.
