2018 Chevrolet Equinox Set for Public Debut
The 2017 model year kicked off with a bang, but Chevrolet is already looking ahead to 2018. The new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox has been a model that many drivers have looked forward to seeing year after year. The automaker announced that the latest version of the Equinox would make its official public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show which is currently ongoing.
The 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is the brand’s next step in reimagining and redesigning its SUV and crossover lineups. The modern SUV is bound to appeal to consumers of all ages, just like Chevrolet’s truck lineup has been a hit throughout the world.
The Equinox has seen more than two million units hit the road since its official launch. The consistent year-over-year sales number have made it the second-bestselling vehicle in the brand’s lineup. The bestselling vehicle from Chevy comes in the form of the Chevrolet Silverado.
“The all-new 2018 Chevrolet Equinox is a modern SUV sized and designed to meet the needs of the compact SUV customer,” said Alan Batey, president of GM North America and brand chief, Global Chevrolet.
The new Chevrolet Equinox brings three turbocharged four-cylinder engine options, including a 1.6-liter turbo-diesel engine. The conventional gas-powered engines will come paired a new nine-speed automatic transmission as well.
