The New 2019 Corvette ZR1 Pays Homage to 1970 ZR1 with New Convertible Model
By springtime of 2018, speed fanatics will have a new car to envy: the new 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible. This nameplate was first introduced in 1970 and has made several thrilling returns over the years. The sports car has just made another appearance, and its newest generation has auto fans in a frenzy.
The 2019 Corvette ZR1 is a supercar in every sense of the word. Its debut earns it far more than an honorable mention in the competitions for speed and power. In fact, the new Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful performer that Chevrolet has ever produced. It’s powered by a 755-horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter engine, which kicks out 715 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain gets paired with either a seven-speed manual transmission or a new paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2019 Corvette ZR1 can hop from 0 to 60 mph in less than three seconds.
The coupe version of this car is out now, and delivering rides unlike anything before it. In the spring of 2018, the 2019 Corvette ZR1 Convertible will be available as well. It will be the first convertible model of the ZR1 since its first generation in the 1970 model year.
