An Offer You’d Probably Like to Not Refuse – Tony Soprano’s Escalade is for Sale
Fans of the infamous and acclaimed TV show The Sopranos will be pleased to see it in the news once more. One of Tony’s Soprano’s Escalades will be going up for auction between November 12th and the 19th.
Tony Soprano, played by lauded actor James Gandolfini, drove two 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESVs throughout the show: one for interior shots and the other for exterior shots. The Escalade up for auction is the exterior vehicle; so, all those times when you saw Tony pulling up to his chateau, that was this one. It was also the star of the drawn-out action-packed car chase for Phil Leotardo in Season 5.
Tony Soprano’s Escalade is signed in two places by Gandolfini; once saying “Thanks for the truck, James Gandolfini” and the other just his signature. This isn’t an odd occurrence for Gandolfini; apparently, he enjoyed leaving messages in vehicles from the show, once writing “Be nice to my car” in an early-episode red Chevy Suburban.
The bidding will start at $5,000, though The Drive has reported that the estimated final sale price will be between $30,000 and $50,000.
Hopefully, the buyer will be more satisfied at the end of this auction than they doubtlessly were at the end of The Sopranos.
